Kuressaare is the capital of Saaremaa, the Estonian biggest island. Although it is a lovely small and quiet city there is a lot to do and see here. You can find a medieval Kuressaare Castle, well preserved old town with nice restorants and small cafes as well as seaside SPA-s and beautiful yacht harbours, green parks and a sandy beach right in the city centre. Kuressaare has territory of about 15 sq.km and a population of about 15 000. As it is a compact and safe city the best way to explore it is by foot or by bike. A perfect place for a romantic cateway or family vocation- no traffic or noisy nightclubs in here.
